HCC Solicitors is an award-winning law firm with offices in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Our team of specialist lawyers are vastly experienced in representing the families and victims of traumatic incidents, serious injury and fatalities.

Our ‘family-first’ approach is dedicated to supporting people who have experienced a traumatic life-changing event.

We’ll ensure that everything is in place for victims and their families to begin their journey of recovery – physically, mentally and financially.

Martin James, Chief Operating Officer of HCC Solicitors, says:

“We are very proud to sponsor the 18th National SIO conference which helps to showcase the brilliant work being done across the country by SIO’s and their teams. We are particularly pleased to be able to work towards creating a supportive infrastructure for families in the aftermath of a life-changing incident.

“As a specialist serious injury law firm, we see on a daily basis the devastation caused to families as a result of catastrophic injuries and the loss of loved ones.  We look forward to continuing our work with various support organisations and charities to help them get rapid access to the physical and psychological rehabilitation they need in the aftermath.”

Trust and confidence in an investigation process is essential for families as they struggle in the aftermath of a life-changing event. We are proud to work in harmony with the valuable service delivered by SIOs, wider investigation teams and family liaison officers in the aftermath of a serious incident.

We understand the significance of your role as a PIP 2,3 or 4 SIO - and the many themes of an investigation you have to concentrate on.

Our experience and expertise is here for you, taking care of all those other matters that you do not need to policy. We will represent victims and families with expert, specialised lawyers dedicated to get the best outcome every time.

As well as our team of experienced lawyers, we also work alongside an independent team of leading consultants who have all served impeccably in various Police Forces and continue to deliver training and development to serving officers on a wide range of themes geared towards supporting victims. Indeed, one of them is a recently retired PIP3 SIO.

We are also proud of our close relationships with some of the UK’s leading non-profit organisations in delivering support to victims. This includes:

Brake – as well as sponsoring the FLO Hub, a dedicated resource centre for Family Liaison Officers, we also support this charity in raising funds and sponsored the Golf Day 2021.

Roadpeace - we support the national charity for road crash victims in the UK. We recently supported and sponsored DCI Andy Cox in his 200k Road Run to raise funds and awareness of this charity close to our hearts.

Project Edward – we work with this annual Road Safety campaign to share our experiences in helping victims get faster access to the physical and psychological rehabilitation they need in the aftermath of a road crash.

SAMM - (Support After Murder and Manslaughter) – we are an official partner to this registered charity which offers ongoing support to families bereaved by murder and manslaughter in the UK including terrorism.

Matt Hampson Foundation - we are the Trusted Legal Partner for the Matt Hampson Foundation, which provides rehabilitation services to people who have been seriously injured.

Our specialist team deliver a prompt, professional and sensitive approach for victims and their families. We always encourage queries or questions about civil/legal procedures from SIOs, or FLO’s at any point during an investigation.
