“Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire Police (BCH) is a Member of Business Disability Forum – they are an immensely rich resource. BDF has supported and empowered BCH and encouraged us to continue to strive for excellence for our colleagues with disabilities and health conditions and to be innovative in delivery. Their Advice Service is second to none and we always feel valued in every interaction. BDF is to be commended in helping organisations make positive, creative, disability smart changes including policies to support their workforce. They can also support you on your Disability Confident journey should you choose to go for it.” Samantha Alexander, Positive Action Lead, Bedfordshire Police, ELEN Network Member

Emergency Services and Law Enforcement Network (ELEN)

As a BDF Member, you can join our Emergency Services and Law Enforcement Network (ELEN) to access advice and support, share best practice and learn from other ELEN organisations about their disability-smart journey in a confidential space.

ELEN brings together disability, diversity, human resources, and wellbeing professionals at managerial level in public service delivery to:

  • Cover tackling the unique challenges faced by the emergency service and law enforcement.
  • Share innovative practice and facilitate solutions-focused discussions with colleagues, including well-performing initiatives.
  • Enable conversations within different trusts and organisations in a safe space. Our meetings operate using the ‘Chatham House’ rule.
