About National Tutelage Service Symposium
In 2022, an independent qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the National Tutelage Service’s approach was conducted. It concluded that the Tutelage approach was improving operational policing through effective identification and resolution of uninsured driving. The significant operational and societal benefits of the approach were then confirmed by a thorough benefits realisation assessment.
Following on from this, the 2023 National Tutelage Symposium aims to engage with key stakeholders in the Service to explore what further operational benefit can be delivered to policing and the road-using public through this approach. These discussions will assist the development of a new 3 year National Tutelage Service Strategy and help inform decisions around the highest priority activities for 2023.
This one day event will be a mixture of briefing by keynote speakers and audience participation to obtain ideas and views on next step activity for the National Tutelage Service in 2023 and beyond. It is an exciting opportunity for some innovative thought and discussion to build on what is universally acknowledged as a highly effective roads policing intervention.
