Currently Prometheus operate a Secure Patient Transport Service and Observational Service to more than 40 NHS Trusts and private organisations and employ some 340 staff of which 30% are highly experienced RMNs.

Prometheus have been awarded several contracts due to the professionalism and reliability of the service, we are fully aware that mental health is a growing concern and a massive drain on NHS services as well as other professional bodies such as police orces around the country.

As a private contractor Prometheus believe our staff have more than enough knowledge and skill sets to offer up solutions to assist in removing some of the issues currently in place as well as returning large amounts of resource back to the emergency services.

 

Some example issues are set out below of which we believe are just the tip of the iceberg but easily resolved through employing the services of Prometheus:

 

• Replacing police officers at places of safety/A&E departments who currently assist with patients if required
• Transport patients to 136 Suites/A&E (in replacement of Police/Ambulance)
• Assisting with staffing issues at 136 Suites (rather than taking NHS staff off wards)
• Providing correctly trained staff and appropriate vehicles to move patients rather than drawing on 999 ambulance staff and inappropriate vehicles.
