Building Capability, Maximising Value, Realising Potential

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology is a critical law enforcement capability used to detect, deter and disrupt criminality, including Organised Crime Groups, people traffickers, serious sexual offenders and terrorists.

The focus of the 2021 National ANPR Conference will be on:

  • harnessing technology, complementary data sets and data driven insight to support decision making and law enforcement action
  • professionalising capability, building skills and confidence in the use of ANPR at all levels
  • stimulating innovation in technology and practice at the local and national level to drive ANPR capability forward.

As the criminal landscape continues to evolve, it is our collective responsibility to ensure that we keep pace, build capability, maximise its value and realise its potential, whilst retaining public confidence in the way in which ANPR is developed, managed and used, by policing and wider law enforcement.

The 2021 National ANPR Conference is relevant for professionals across policing and the wider law enforcement community, including: Intelligence Managers, Researchers, Officers and Analysts, Criminal Investigators (particularly those working cross border) as well as Strategic and Operational Leads with specific responsibility for developing ANPR capability.

Speakers at this years’ conference have been specifically selected to challenge thinking, stimulate discussion and showcase innovation at the local and national level.

The conference will also provide a welcome opportunity for delegates to re-connect face-to-face with colleagues and suppliers, to network and share best practice.
