The National Centre for Violence Against Women and Girls and Public Protection (NCVPP) brings together the College of Policing and the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) to strengthen policing’s response to some of the most complex and high-harm offences affecting communities.
For Senior Investigating Officers, understanding how serious crime is evolving can be as important as understanding how to investigate it. Emerging threats increasingly cross traditional investigative boundaries, from technology-enabled offending and organised drug-facilitated sexual offending to changing patterns in domestic abuse-related homicide and the growing impact of high-harm perpetrators.
The NCVPP brings together operational learning, intelligence, research and evidence to identify emerging risks, develop capability and share national learning. By connecting insight from across policing and partners, the Centre helps forces strengthen both prevention and enforcement responses.
Delegates are invited to engage with the team and discuss opportunities to shape national approaches to public protection and serious crime investigation.
