“The Family Liaison Affiliated Collective of Support Services (FLACSS) represents a vital collaboration between the police family liaison community and the charitable organisations that support those affected by murder, manslaughter, and road death. Chaired by the National Lead for Family Liaison and head of the Homicide Working Group, FLACSS ensures an open and effective dialogue between practitioners and the voluntary sector. This joined-up approach helps to ensure that families facing the most devastating loss receive the right support, at the right time, from both the police and specialist organisations. We are pleased to be attending this year’s Senior Investigating Officers Conference to highlight the importance of this partnership. By working together, we can help ensure that Senior Investigating Officers and their teams are fully aware of the expert support available - both for the families they serve and for the officers carrying out these challenging and sensitive investigations.”
