Organ and tissue donation provides transplant or treatment to help someone in need. Thousands of lives in the UK are saved or transformed each year by organ and tissue transplants and treatments facilitated by tissue donation.

NHS Blood and Transplant are delighted to be welcomed back to support this year's conference and look forward to continued introductions and discussion with all delegates. We hope to share information about the crucial role the Police contribute in enabling lifesaving organ and tissue donation to go ahead, even in complex circumstances where donation will initially appear challenged. Collaboration between the Police, Home Office Pathologists, Medical teams and Nurses are essential to provide the Coroner or Procurator Fiscal with all the information they require to enable patients and their families to save and transform lives.
