The Police National Legal Database (PNLD) is the leading resource of criminal justice legislation in England and Wales.
PNLD support the 43 Home Office police forces of England and Wales, other law enforcement agencies and partners. The portal comprises of Acts of Parliament, Common Law, Regulations, Orders and Byelaws, Case Law summaries and, most importantly, the national Standard Offence Wordings and CJS codes. These are created on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, and without them criminal prosecutions could not take place.
